Happy birthday to us, again!

17th September 2012

Hello flowers lovers…..

Weeks and weeks and not a peep from me….I hang my head in shame….Where do I start on catching you all up with our lavender blue news.  We have had a record number of weddings, I am super pleased to report, and with just over 3 months left of 2012 we still have almost 20 weddings to go.  Its such a thrill being involved in our Brides To Be’s special day and we cant believe how lucky we are to be the chosen florist for over 80 brides this year alone.

So since my last blog we have covered a lot of miles, and our beautiful weddings have taken us from the local and lovely West End, St Peters and St Simons, One Devonshire Gardens, Partick Borough Halls, to the most beautiful St Gilberts in Sherbrooke.  The ever popular and beautiful Glasgow University Chaple and its great array of lecture halls and debating chambers which are used for receptions.  We are loving Carnbooth Hotel and the Cruin too, and as ever the fairytale Oran Mor has been a regular haunt of late.  Saturday saw us taking Jodies flowers to Oban and the Ardnasaig Hotel, and this week we are at Gailes Hotel in Irvine and Moorpark House Hotel too, for our beautiful brides Stephanie and Sarah.  In addition we have created flowers for the Disney Premier of Brave, in conjunction with the very deserving charity DEBRA, and we have been teaching classes at Sloans, the fab old tearoom salon in the Argyle Arcade.  We were invited back to do flowers for the Royal Conservatiore and we were delighted to be working with them again, and our most recent excitement here in the shop was that we are now the in-house florist for The National Piping Centre…..woohooo….so I do hope you can forgive my tardy blogging…And of course, we were 2 years old too.  That was such as great milestone to reach, and we celebrated with dinner at the Ashoka in Kirkintilloch.

And a couple of drinkies after too. My big milestone was getting a new iPhone… so I am just about managing there and I am also finding that our facebook flower lovers are loving the photo posts as we work through our week.  If you haven`t already liked us, please do…we would love to share more of our work with you all.

So its finally here..Autumn!  No denying it now, get your scarves and gloves at the ready.  its all gone gourd-tastic here with our amazing autumnal inspired window by the talented Jemma.  If you haven`t had a peek pop down and see for yourself.  There is so much to look at, my fave is the colemans mustard tins with mini peace lilies…sooooo cute.

So I shall head off with the PROMISE that i shall be bloggin every week from here on in.
