More rain!

30th July 2012

It can’t rain forever….surely….

Just as well we have been so busy here at L.B, that we can forget the rain for a wee while at least.  We have been having so much fun creating fab flowers for our 4 brides last week, check out the photo of Amys wedding bouquet…pefectly pastle.  We are also getting ready for the Brave Premier at Cineworld tomorrow, lots of purples and blues and thistles with a tartan twist.

We are really thrilled to be working with Jaye from DEBRA, the charity who works with people with skin conditions, and we are so pleased to be involved with their fundraising for this very deserving charity.  Photos next time.

We are also happy bunnies to be teaching at Sloans Salon too.  We met with the lovely Amy, Events Manager at Sloans in Argyle Arcade, and are pleased to say that we will be teaching all things flowery from the beautiful salon rooms upstairs in this gorgeous venue.   Keep an eye on their website for further info, but we will let you all know when it is happening…exciting stuff.

Here in the shop we have had a bit of a herb festival going on.  We have been indulging in our love for herbs and all things scented and creating beautiful foliage bouquets with mint, rosemary, oregano and dille, and we are so pleased our customers are loving them too….not just for cooking, you know….

Jemma had been organising out portfolio, and we are trying to reach all our lovely brides to get a photo of their special day.  It had been so lovely to be in touch with our girls again.  We are very lucky however, that we have a lot of girls return to our shop, for happy times and sad times too, but we are so pleased that we see familiar faces.  In particular we are delighted to see many of our brides and grooms return with their new babies, and with our 2nd birthday coming up, we are so proud to have been around to be involved in their big day, and still be standing strong to create flowers to celebrate the births of their baby girls and boys….lots more boys recently…come on girls..where are you all???  Our very own Flower Baby, Lulah, is making her way in the world, taking her first steps on holiday on New York, nonetheless…thats my girl…I am sure she was planning a bit of shoe shopping.  So now she has mastered the waving and walking combo, we can’t wait to see her next trick….and she keeps her Mum Jemma busy with all her adventures around the shop.

We have also updated our gallery with shots of the shop, full to bursting with summer scented gorgousness.  We had the lovely Kevin and Owen in to do a photo shoot….those multi talented boys know no limits…as we had a huge delivery for our Bride Kirstie, who married at Paisley Abbey and had her reception at Paisley Town Hall, both such amazing venues.  So we took advantage of the fab blooms and Kevin took over 600 photos, which we had great difficulty narrowing down.  Owen has popped some onto our gallery, check them out.Well I am away to start ribboning vases with tartan for tomorrows Premier…
