The sun has got his hat on

28th September 2011

Isn’t it lovely out????

And I enjoyed a lazy long weekend, thanks to Jemma and Tallulah… with the help from  Yummy Granny Margaret, for taking over on Tuesday… A bit of retail therapy was indulged!  Jems spent ages getting all our glassware and sundries prepped and ready for our three lovely Brides to Be this weekend, and we are really hoping that the sun stays bright for Jenny, Angela and Alison on Saturday and Sunday…stay posted for photos…

Also being chatted about when Jemma was in was Christmas…..I know I know…Im sorry..I won’t mention it again until after Guy Fawkes night, I promise…

My big thrill in the shop this weekend was that the ever talented ever present Kevin Smith, who is responsible for all our gorgeous crystal work, managed to source fabby colour changing LEDs for the window, he even came in on his day off to install them, so now when our shutters are down for the night, our shop window still looks stonking…thankyou Smith…

We have also been falling in love with the big and blousy Tom Pearce chrysanthemums all over again.  We never fail to marvel at these lovely blooms.  And we have been busy with our Vase Service, Bring your vase in and we can fill it with beautiful flowers of your choice at no extra charge, and we won`t tell a soul so you can pretend its all your hard work!!

And finally a  big Good Luck to our lovely neighbours at Cottonrake Catering Co, just a few doors down.  Stefan and his staff have been nominated, quite deservedly, for the Scottish Home Baker of the Year award.  If you haven`t yet visitied this gem of a shop then pop down to Hyndland Street to sample his amazing baking…we will bring you the news as soon as we know it.
